چکیده
In recent years, the rationalization of concrete mix ratios which batches equal volumes sand and gravel in building projects has been gaining grounds Cameroon construction industry. The main objective this study is therefore to investigate if produced with rationalized ratio can be adopted as conventional terms minimum required compression strength for buildings. Specifically work compared 350 kg cement: 400 liters sand: 800 a cubic meter batch 600 5/15 gravel, 15/25 combination + gravel. Average compressive test results both were found meet 65% at 7 days, 90% 14 days 99% 28 size 15/25. Single did not 20 N/mm2 curing based on required, arrives conclusion that kg/m3

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Acceptance of Concrete Compressive Strength
The new concrete standards give directives regarding the checking if the hardened concrete conforms to the compressive strength requirements of the designed compressive strength class. The acceptance or rejection of conformity is the function of the compressive strength testing methods and the evaluation of the test results. In the paper through examples we show the role of the acceptance proba...
متن کاملPrediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength
Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method. One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...
متن کاملPrediction of concrete mix ratios using modified regression theory
The strength of concrete is a function of the proportions of the constituent materials, namely, cement, water, fine and coarse aggregates. The conventional methods used to determine the mix proportions that will yield the desired strength, are laborious, time consuming and expensive. In this paper, a mathematical method based on modified regression theory is formulated for the prediction of con...
متن کاملEffect of the Concrete Strength on the Concrete-Steel Bond in Concrete Filled Steel Tubes
In this study, the concrete-steel bond strength of concrete filled cylindrical steel tubes has been experimentally investigated. 22 short, high strength and normal concrete filled circular steel tubes were tested. Push-out test was carried out as the common method to evaluate the bond carrying capacity. Four different concrete mixes were used in preparing the specimens. The steel tubes were w...
